I’m writing to express my keen interest in the Industry Capstone Program at the School of Business. I've worked in content development and data analysis in Mumbai, India, for two years, and throughout that time I've gained thorough understanding of the value of data in creating insights and sound business decisions. I have worked for Flickstree Productions Pvt Ltd, Mumbai as a Data Analyst. During my tenure at Flickstree, I was responsible for analyzing daily revenue trends for video content marketing company resulting in enhanced analysis by cleaning and modeling data using SQL and Excel. I also accomplished customer engagement analysis and generated new website content aligned with current social trends and best SEO practices.

With the help of a scholarship, I’m able to pursue my MS in Business Intelligence and Analytics at Stevens Institute of Technology. In my first semester at Stevens, I’ve completed three significant projects that showcase my proficiency as a business analyst. For my first project, I developed a Python-based machine learning model by utilizing classification techniques and following the CRISP-DM phases to predict health insurance premiums with an accuracy of 87.5%.  I analyzed trends in the data and created linear and decision tree regression ML model to predict premium prices. For my second project, I reduced the transportation cost for a logistics company by 263,270 ton-kilometers or by 28.12%, using Excel Solver. For this project, I also accomplished an 18% reduction in delivery time as measured by average delivery time statistics. For my third project, I created and put into use a thorough database for ICC Test Cricket Players information, which included player data, match outcomes, and historical patterns which resulted in a 20% increase in data accuracy. Also, during my Summer 2023 break, I am working on a Customer Churning Predictor Project, where I have developed a data mining (DM) approach that predicts the success of telemarketing calls for selling bank long-term deposits. The project aims to provide telemarketing campaign managers with a credible and valuable predictive model that can guide their decision- making process.

Currently, I am working as a Student Graduate Lifeguard at the Debaun Aquatics Center, Stevens Institute of Technology. I hold certifications in Lifeguarding and CPR/AED along with First Aid from the Red Cross. As a lifeguard, my responsibility is to ensure the safety of swimmers by closely monitoring pool activities and responding to any emergencies. I have also exhibited problem-solving abilities by acting promptly and appropriately in time-sensitive circumstances and communicating effectively with other lifeguards and pool staff to ensure the safety of swimmers.

In addition, I hold certifications such as the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, Python Certification from Data Camp, and the Data Science Certificate from Udemy. I’m excited to apply my analytical skills and experience to uncover valuable insights and drive data-driven solutions as part of the Industry Capstone Program at the School of Business.
